Il primo orologio da immersione sportivo di Montblanc, il Montblanc 1858 Iced Sea Automatic Date, presenta un quadrante con motivo “ghiacciaio” che dà l’impressione di guardare nelle profondità di un ghiacciaio. Questo quadrante blu con motivo “ghiacciaio” è ispirato al Mer de Glace (Mare di Ghiaccio), il ghiacciaio principale del Massiccio del Monte Bianco. La sua texture è stata ottenuta utilizzando una tecnica ancestrale quasi dimenticata chiamata gratté-boisé. Il segnatempo presenta inoltre una lunetta unidirezionale in ceramica bicolore, un fondello inciso e un bracciale conico in acciaio pregiato intercambiabile con regolazioni raffinate, per una vestibilità perfetta. Il segnatempo è conforme alla normativa ISO 6425 per gli orologi da immersione ed è impermeabile fino a 300 metri.

Montblanc’s first sports dive watch, the Montblanc 1858 Iced Sea Automatic Date, features a “glacier” pattern dial that gives the impression of looking into the depths of a glacier. This blue dial with a “glacier” motif is inspired by the Mer de Glace (Sea of Ice), the main glacier of the Mont Blanc Massif. Its texture was obtained using an almost forgotten ancestral technique called gratté-boisé. The timepiece also features a unidirectional two-tone ceramic bezel, an engraved case back and an interchangeable stainless steel conical bracelet with fine adjustments for the perfect fit. The timepiece complies with the ISO 6425 standard for diving watches and is water resistant to 300 metres.
