La collezione Meisterstück Around the World in 80 Days si ispira al famoso romanzo di avventura di Jules Verne “Il giro del mondo in 80 giorni”. La stilografica Doué Classique con cappuccio in metallo finitura oro e corpo in lacca antracite dégradé, trae ispirazione dalla seconda tappa del viaggio, da Bombay a Yokohama. In questa seconda tappa avventurosa, i protagonisti viaggiano su un maestoso elefante, che compare in un cartiglio sul cappuccio. Il cappuccio in metallo finitura oro reca un motivo inciso che simboleggia la fortuna. La clip presenta un asso di quadri laccato rosso e il cono reca l’incisione di un motivo ispirato ai gioielli della Principessa Auda e ai semi delle carte, che rappresentano la scommessa di Fogg di compiere il viaggio in 80 giorni. La parte superiore del cappuccio presenta la goffratura della durata del viaggio, 25 giorni da Bombay a Yokohama e 80 giorni in totale. Lo strumento da scrittura è completato da un pennino realizzato a mano in oro 18K, decorato con una mongolfiera e con le date 20/10 e 14/11: Fogg lascia, infatti, Bombay il 20 ottobre alle 20:00 e Yokohama il 14 novembre alle 18:00.

The Meisterstück Around the World in 80 Days collection is inspired by Jules Verne’s famous adventure novel “Around the World in 80 Days”. The Doué Classique fountain pen with gold-finish metal cap and dégradé anthracite lacquer barrel draws inspiration from the second stage of the journey, from Bombay to Yokohama. In this second adventurous stage, the protagonists travel on a majestic elephant, which appears in a scroll on the hood. The gold-finish metal cap bears an engraved motif symbolizing good luck. The clip features a red lacquered ace of diamonds and the cone is engraved with a motif inspired by Princess Auda’s jewels and the card suits, which represent Fogg’s bet to make the journey in 80 days. The top of the cap features the length of the journey embossed, 25 days Bombay to Yokohama and 80 days total. The writing instrument is completed by a handcrafted 18K gold nib, decorated with a hot air balloon and with the dates 10/20 and 11/14: Fogg leaves Bombay on 20 October at 20:00 and Yokohama on 14 November at 18:00.
